COSTA RICA TRIP with The Honky Tonk Heroes and some of their closest friends is confirmed to fly out of Houston on Thursday July 17th and return on Monday July 21st. This is to attend the 1st annual country music festival which is introducing our kind of music into the beautiful mountains and valleys of central Costa Rica and everyone is invited. More details will be coming soon but expect airfare to be around $550 and rooms for two can be had for $50-$200 per nite. This is going to be one fine time!

The 2nd Annual Honky Tonk Golf Classic is set to take place on Saturday August 16th. If you haven't heard about the one we had last year believe me when I tell you that it was the biggest hoot any of us can ever remembering happening. Whether you are a good golfer or if you have never played before it doesn't matter, women are welcome, and there is one kickass party at Blancos after the tournament. Larry Parcell and John Evans are working out details but more info will be coming soon. Mark your calendars!

Dale Watson - Yahoo, party tonite! Dale and his band make the trip down from Austin again to blow the roof off of our little honky tonk. They always have as much fun playin' as we do listenin' and dancin'. Take our advice and get here and get primed early.

Donny Taylor hosts the "Texas Country" open mike - Our friend from down south of Houston has found some time to come in to town to perform for us. Donny fronts his very successful band that will be playing a variety of great stuff. Band around 8:30, open mike around 9:30.

Ryan T. Briggs - Ryan has been developing a good Houston following and the reason he has is because he is very good. The Derailers - These guys are one of the most sought after bands in the great state of Texas and we feel lucky when we are able to get them booked at Blancos. Brian and these very talented musicians are some of the most professional folks we know and are guaranteed to "buck" your boots off.

David Van Langen hosts the "Texas Country" open mike - It's always a good nite when David agrees to come in with his band to host our jam. You can count on hearing some great country outlaw music classics when they are on stage. The music will start around 8:30 and open mike starts around 9:30.

The Honky Tonk Heroes - Got twang? Tonite you are going to get it - nothing but good old fashioned honky tonk from these guys. Their second CD has been released and you will be hearing new original stuff from them as well as the other songs we know and love. Granger Smith - Sure are glad that this young man was able to fit us into his very busy schedule - he will have just returned from the Middle East entertaining our troops. Raised in Dallas and a proud A&M grad Granger is a great songwriter and performer with plenty of 2-steps for you tonite. This will be a real nice nite.

Chad Ware hosts the "Texas Country" open mike - It is always a good time with lots of great musicians in the house when Chad hosts. You know you're going to hear kickass guitar playin' tonite and, as always there is no cover charge on Wednesdays. Chad and his band start around 8:30 with the open mike starting around 9:30.

Wayne Hubbard - Wayne and his band are local boys that are extremely talented and always put out a great show. They have written some real fine original tunes and cover the classic songs as good as anyone. Come on out and give these guys a listen - you will not be dissapointed. Jamie Richards - One of our very favorites! Jamie keeps one of the busiest schedules of anyone we know because he is in very high demand. Raised in Oklahoma and now living in and loving Texas Jamie was considered "too country" for Nashville - that makes him just perfect for us. He always has a big crowd so plan on comin' in early tonite.
